Jeannise Jeanty passed away on September 3, 2026. She was born on January 26, 1950, in Fond Melon, Jacmel, Haiti, as Jeannise “Fifi” Joseph, the youngest of ten children.
Jeannise will be remembered as a deeply caring and active woman whose life was shaped by love, service, and faith. She enjoyed sewing and was known for the warmth she extended to those around her. She shared a close and cherished bond with her mother, and they spent much of their time together. As her sisters left home, Jeannise stepped into an important role in her family, helping to run the household and family businesses with dedication and strength.
Her kindness reached far beyond her own home. Jeannise loved helping the children in her neighborhood, and her generosity made such an impression that many knew her simply as “Godmother.” That name reflected the spirit with which she lived: giving, nurturing, and always ready to care for others. She was also a very active member of her church, where she shared her love of Christ through both her generosity and her compassionate heart.
Jeannise was married to Jaures Jeanty, and together they built a family that remained at the center of her life. She leaves behind her daughters, Kettely Orelien and Yvrose Jeanty, and her beloved granddaughters, Naomie Orelien and Stacie Orelien. She also carried in her heart the memory of those who went before her, including her son, Jacques Jeanty, and her daughter, Ketia Jeanty.
She was preceded in death by her father, Philippe Previl Joseph; her mother, Arianne Tourteau; her brothers, Brevil Joseph and Jacob Joseph; and her sisters, Madame Dartil Laguerre and Christiane Joseph.
Family and friends are invited to honor Jeannise’s life at a visitation on September 19, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 33 East Main Street, Webster, MA 01570. A funeral service will follow from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Both services will be available by livestream at First Baptist Church Livestream.
Jeannise Jeanty’s life was a blessing to many. She will be remembered for her steadfast love for family, her open heart for children, her faithful service in the church, and the quiet strength with which she cared for others. Her memory will continue to live on in all who were touched by her kindness.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to that care of the Gianaris-Gliniecki & Beauregard Funeral Home, 366 School Street Webster, MA
